Hi friends! It’s been so quiet over here on my blog these past several months.  I decided to take some time out for my family and enjoy the rest of summer with my little ones and my husband. We had such a beautiful and (very) hot summer here in Calgary so it would have been a shame to spend it inside on a computer… can you really blame me haha 😉 Now that summer has come and gone and we are into well into fall, I’ll be getting back to business and catching up on the blog life. Now onto this sweet mama…

At the end of October, I had a maternity session with the sweetest family expecting their second little baby. Meet Calgary’s newest mama, Rita and her family.

When Rita contacted me to do her maternity pictures for her and her family, she had a vision for what she wanted for her maternity portraits to be like. She envisioned beautiful maternity photos in the park down by the water. There is something so serene about an expectant mama standing down by the water that I just absolutely love!! It’s a beautiful thing when art and a vision come together, and I was so honoured to make that happen for her. Now only if it was summer and the water was warmer – I can see all the endless possibilities of beautiful maternity pictures that the lush Calgary parks have to offer for photographing in.

The day of their maternity session turned out to be a really nice fall day. When we met at the location of their session, I was met with such a sweet happy family. Shortly after our session began the wind decided to make an appearance and say hello. They braved the breezy Chinook winds and we got some amazing photos of mama down by the water, them together, mama with her little love, and as a family of three before they became a family of four.

And look how sweet older brother is?! He definitely melted my heart.

Mama had her eyes on a couple of maternity gowns that I have in my client wardrobe closet, that she had her heart set on wearing for her session. I’m always happy to provide my clients with these beautiful gowns to make them feel gorgeous during their maternity session and give them those stunning maternity portraits to remember their pregnancy by.
