Meet sweet baby Emily. I welcomed this gorgeous baby girl into the studio at the end of May — I’m a bit behind on my blog posts, as you can tell.

Emily’s aunt, who is a friend of mine, reached out to let me know that she had a brand new niece that was just born and wanted to know if I would be able to do newborn photos for her sister. I’m always so grateful when clients and friends refer their family and friends to me. It’s the biggest compliment that an artist, and a small business owner can receive and I appreciate them so much! Emily’s mom to contacted me shortly after that and it was so easy to connect with her. We set up her newborn session for a few weeks later and started planning the details of styling and colour choices.

The day of her session, Emily arrived at the studio with her mom, dad and two older siblings. When it comes to family, there is nothing like the unconditional love that a mom and dad have for their precious child. And, there is nothing else like the bond that siblings have with each other. Emily is so lucky to have her two older siblings to look out for her, to grow with and to bond forever with.

She was sleepy and content for much of the session, and loved to be all cozy and snug. She was so petite and so sweet, and she completely melted my heart.

When it comes to newborn photography, it’s always better to reserve your newborn session in advance of your baby’s birth to ensure that I can get you in on my schedule. I always try my best to accommodate clients who haven’t found me until after baby has been born, but to ensure that I’m available for your session, you are encouraged to book while you are still pregnant.
