Hi there! I'm Ashley, the artist & creative mind behind the lens. I'm a newborn, maternity, baby & family photographer based in Calgary, Alberta.

 

I'm so happy that you're here, and that you are considering me to photograph the special moments in your life and of your growing family. I'm always so honoured when I get to be a part of creating your family's portrait memories! I'm a Calgary Newborn Photographer with an absolute love for newborn, maternity and baby photography.

I've been photographing babies and children of all ages for the past several years, and I specialize in photographing infants under two weeks of age. I have specific newborn posing training that includes newborn safety, so your new baby bundle will always be in safe, caring hands. I am a mama to two precious children and a wife to my very loving and supportive husband, who has made my photography dreams possible. I owe so much to my husband for supporting my dreams! They are the biggest pieces of my world!

 

my life changed when I became a mom and a heart mom all at once.

 

Before our oldest was born, my husband and I learned that he had a serious Congenital Heart Defect and needed open heart surgery shortly after birth. That news put everything into perspective for us as soon-to-be new parents. Faced with our new reality of becoming Heart Parents we decided what was most important in life and for our family. With the love and support of my husband and family, I set my dreams into motion and pursued my love of photography. With Photo Journalism behind me, I began photographing again as Honey Heart Photography – inspired by our son, our heart baby.

Having completely fallen in love with the art of Maternity and Newborn photography, I invested in courses and workshops to specialize in photographing a mama-to-be for those serene maternity portraits, and safely curl up baby for those sweet, dreamy poses. I love all things pretty, simple and natural. My style is a mix of love for pretty colours that pop and make a statement, along with softer, prettier tones for those dreamier occasions.

When I’m not behind the lens photographing bellies and babies, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and little ones enjoying the very simple things in life, like backyard get-togethers and family movie nights. I’m Ashley, the artist and storyteller behind the lens of Honey Heart Photography. I’m a mama to two precious children who are my inspirations for pursing my dream. Raising my sweet blessings fills my heart full, they are the biggest pieces of my world!

I’m in love with and use soft, muted colours and organic textures that will leave your images with classic styling, always keeping the focus on your new baby and family.
